Veterinary Services

Here at North Weald Vets we are committed to ensuring that your pets receive the best care we can offer. Our objective is to look after the well-being of your pet whilst trying to inconvenience you and your best friend as little as possible.

All consultations are carried out by appointment and generally last between 10 and 15 minutes.

We are a small team, which means that our clients can be assured of a personal service. You will be most likely to see the same Vet on each visit. You can certainly request to see the same Vet when booking appointments.

Although we do all we can to run on time, please bear in mind that emergencies have to take priority and in these cases we may have to ask you to wait a little longer.

We provide a complete Radiography service with full size Digital X-Ray unit on site which gives us the ability to take and process X-Rays within minutes. This is the most familiar and most frequently used imaging method service offered from our practice.

We also have a basic ultrasound unit which can be used to aid in diagnosis and provide more narrowly focused pictures of internal structures. Details that might be difficult to see on radiographs can often be seen with ultrasound.

Our in house blood test analyser gives us a wide range of blood tests with the results available the same day, sometimes within as little as 10 minutes for certain tests. We are also able to carry out in house urine analysis and skin cytology.

We have a sterile operating suite within the surgery. Our advanced facilities are able to cope with a wide range of surgical problems. We are equipped to deal with routine surgeries, such as neutering or lump removals and general emergency surgeries.

We are able to care for pets needing in patient care during the day. Animals recovering from operations or receiving medical therapy or fluid therapy are kept in specially designed walk-in animal care units suitable for small and large animals. Overnight hospitalisation is arranged at a nearby hospital facility, who also take our calls out of hours, should you require a vet when we are closed.
